Authenticate a Minnaar
The Minnaar Catalogue maintains the permanent record of artworks created or selected by Steven Minnaar, including original works, limited editions, readymades, and Guest Artist Selections.
Registered Minnaars are accompanied by a digital Certificate of Authenticity, providing an enduring record of each artwork's authorship, authenticity, and provenance.
When a registered Minnaar changes hands, its Certificate of Authenticity should travel with it.
Digital Certificates may be verified at CertificateOfAuthenticity.com. Confirm that the artwork matches the certificate description and that the certificate was issued by MinnaarMoney.com, MinnaarTreasury.com, or StevenMinnaar.com.
Permanent Catalogue Registration
Once authenticated and registered, a Minnaar remains permanently recorded in the Minnaar Catalogue, even as it passes from collector to collector.
Each record identifies the artwork, its creator when known, its assigned Sovereign Value (SV), and its documented Catalogue history.
Works by guest artists are credited to their original creators and identified as selections by Steven Minnaar.
The artwork may change hands. Its Catalogue record and exchange privileges remain.
Unregistered Minnaars
Some Minnaars may be gifted or distributed for promotional purposes without initially receiving a Certificate of Authenticity.
Only Minnaars with a valid Certificate of Authenticity are eligible for exchange within the Minnaar Catalogue.
An owner may submit an existing, unregistered Minnaar for authentication and registration. Simply follow the instructions below, or bring it to a meetup in Dana Point for authentication.
Upon successful authentication, the work is permanently entered into the Minnaar Catalogue and issued a digital Certificate of Authenticity, making it eligible for exchange according to its assigned Sovereign Value.
Registration does not require the owner to surrender the artwork.
Authentication & Catalogue Registration
Owners of unregistered Minnaars may request authentication and permanent registration in the Minnaar Catalogue.
Authentication includes examination of the artwork, verification of its authenticity, Catalogue registration, and issuance of a digital Certificate of Authenticity.
An authentication and registration fee of 1 oz silver shall apply.
Shipping and return shipping are the responsibility of the owner.
This service is intended for existing Minnaars. Other artworks must first be considered and accepted through the Guest Artist Selections process.

Artists: Submit Your Art
Artists, photographers, musicians, poets, writers, filmmakers, video creators, and other creative individuals wishing to have their work considered for inclusion in Minnaar Money are invited to participate in Guest Artist Selections.
Submissions are free, with up to three artworks at a time and unlimited repeat submissions.
Eligible works must be unframed originals or signed limited editions on paper, card stock, or canvas panel, measuring no more than 11 × 14 inches. Stretched canvases are not accepted.
Musical Artcards, Poetry Artcards, Story Artcards, and Video Artcards are also welcome. These miniature collectible artworks combine original visual art with music, poetry, storytelling, or video and must measure exactly 2.5 × 3.5 inches.
For each selected work an artist chooses to exchange, the artist provides the physical artwork in a clear protective sleeve, together with one troy ounce of .999 fine silver. These are required only after acceptance.
In exchange, the artist may choose any two distinct, available 1 SV Minnaar Money artworks from the Catalogue, including two works by other Guest Artists if desired.
The contributed artwork is registered as Minnaar Money with permanent Catalogue recognition, original creator attribution, a digital Certificate of Authenticity, and exchange privileges at 1 SV.
The artist receives both selected 1 SV artworks, each accompanied by its own digital Certificate of Authenticity. All three artworks retain their permanent Catalogue records, and the exchange is documented.
