From time to time, Steven Minnaar accepts a limited number of portrait commissions.

Each commission begins with someone whose life, beauty, or memory deserves to be preserved. From there, Steven creates a one-of-one original work of art designed to become part of a family's story for generations to come.

Available as either a Lady Minnaar original painting or a Secret Minnaar miniature permanently housed within a mechanical wristwatch, every portrait is personally created by the artist and becomes part of his lifetime body of work.

More than a likeness, each portrait seeks to capture presence, character, and the quiet qualities that make one person unlike any other.

Every commissioned work is individually signed, accompanied by its Certificate of Authenticity, and permanently recorded in the Minnaar Treasury Catalogue Raisonné.

A Lady Minnaar commission becomes a timeless original painting for display. A Secret Minnaar allows that same original portrait to be worn, protected, and quietly enjoyed each day, revealed only through the exhibition case back.

Because every portrait is personally created by Steven Minnaar, commissions are accepted only as time and inspiration permit.
